Candidate Profile:-

1st Class B.E./B.Tech./MCA/or equivalent degree in Computer Science/Electronics/Electrical/ Telecommunications or related fields from a recognized University with atleast 16 years of post qualification experience in the relevant area.
Or
Post-Graduation in Engineering / Technology (e.g. M.E./M.Tech.) in Computer Science / Electronics / Electrical / Telecommunications or related fields from a recognized University with minimum 14 years of post qualification experience in the relevant area.
Or
1st Class Post-Graduate degree in Computer Science / Electronics / Electrical / Telecommunications or related fields (e.g. M.Sc IT/M.Sc Electronics) from a recognized University with minimum 16 years of post qualification experience in the relevant area.
Or
A Doctorate (Ph.D) in Computer Science / Electronics / Electrical / Telecommunications or related fields from a recognized University with minimum 13 years of post qualification experience in the relevant area.

Job Requirements:

• Should have the ability to guide, motivate, harness and lead a group of highly specialized and talented pool of scientific, R&D, technical and administrative personnel towards achievement of institutional goals.
• Should have the ability to independently manage an organization of high repute and national importance including aspects such as manpower planning, development, budgets, finance and various other organizational aspects.
• Should possess a broad scientific, R&D and technological vision and ability to keep track of recent trends and emerging developments in the relevant technology field.
• Should have in-depth exposure and sound knowledge of intellectual property rights and commercial aspects of high-end research.
• Should have the ability to effectively interface with the Government, academic, R&D and educational institutions and the IT industry.
• Should have a working experience of minimum 10 years in a senior position in an R&D institution of national repute and experience in the management of R&D projects in hi-tech areas, covering all aspects relating to conceptualization, monitoring and implementation, and so on.
• Should be a scientist of national repute who will be a recognized authority in the relevant area.

Desirable :

• Ph.D. in relevant area from a recognized University or institution and should be capable of guiding Post graduate / Doctorate degree students in Computer Science / Computer Engineering.
• Research contributions and published works of national / international repute.
• High visibility in professional and academic circles and should have been involved and contributed to national and international consultative / advisory committees.
• Proven track record and experience in leading and delivering significant R&D projects in areas such as VLSI Design, Broadcast & Communications, Control & Instrumentation, Power Electronics, High-performance Networks, Web Technologies, Networking, Computer and Internet Security, Software Technologies, Cyber Forensics, Language Technology etc.
• Ability to lead, guide and motivate a talented technical team for undertaking high end training and consultancy.
