  • Akamai Recruitment 2013 for Freshers As Systems Support Engineer
  • Support and maintain Atlassian JIRA deployment and ensure it is ready for wide-scale internal use (backed up, has good disaster recovery processes, documented)
  • Work with developer peers and internal customers to configure and customize JIRA as a project management tool for use by managers and executives
  • Support the Atlassian tool set as well as other Development Tools systems, such as Perforce, git, build systems, release tracking system etc.
  • Promote new ways to use the Atlassian platform at Akamai by extending our offerings over time including both supported plugins like Crucible, Fisheye, and others as well as third party and custom integrations
  • Help with manual and automated testing and deployment of internal releases

  • experience with Atlassian products, especially JIRA, Confluence and Greenhopper
  • experience with multiple development methodologies such as SCRUM and Waterfall
  • proficient with database support, especially postgreSQL
  • familiarity with Java
  • able to program in scripting languages such as Perl, Python, Ruby or bash
